For operations that need to process the largest possible batches and need gas-fired heat to get there, the Nyle FDG1000 is the top of the line.
The FDG1000 is an indirect gas-fired batch dehydrator built for high-volume commercial and industrial food processing. Large-scale jerky and meat producers, industrial herb and spice processors, commercial mushroom farms, and any facility where throughput, temperature ceiling, and total batch capacity are the primary constraints, this is the machine designed for those environments.
The FDG1000 is powered by a GHV 12 indirect gas-fired burner rated at 1,200,000 Btu/hr. Like all of Nyle’s gas-fired systems, “indirect” means combustion gases are fully isolated from the drying airstream. Only clean, heated air contacts the product; no exhaust, no combustion byproducts. For NSF-certified food production facilities, this architecture is essential. The system runs on natural gas or propane, and expert commissioning from Nyle’s team is included with the starting price.
The FDG1000’s chamber holds 30 racks and 600 trays. Batch loads range from 3,000 to 6,000 pounds of wet product per run, making it one of the highest-capacity commercial batch dehydrators available. The drying temperature range of 80°F to 220°F puts the same broad range of high-temperature applications within reach: certain concentrates, high-heat meat products, validated kill-step protocols, and any product requiring documented thermal processing above 160°F.
As with all Nyle systems, the interior is stainless steel, NSF-certified throughout, and sealed with NSF-approved materials. Expert installation is included.
